Call for paper: Ideas in Action —The Interdisciplinary Conference for Undergraduate Students in Humanities, Social Sciences & Public Policy
Gratia Christian College and the Business, Economic and Public Policy Research Centre (BEPP) at Hong Kong Shue Yan University have long been dedicated to promoting and encouraging cross-institutional and interdisciplinary research exchange. To further support the academic development of sub-degree and undergraduate students, we are proud to announce the inaugural "Ideas in Action: Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Research Conference on Humanities, Social Sciences, and Public Policy" to be held on June 26, 2026.
This conference aims to provide a friendly, inspiring, and professional standards-driven academic platform for undergraduate and sub-degree students, encouraging them to present their research findings and exchange ideas with scholars and peers. It is designed for those eager to explore research or pursue an academic career, offering a unique opportunity to engage with scholars and peers while fostering a vibrant research culture among local students.
We cordially invite your institution/department to encourage students to submit papers utilising interdisciplinary research methodologies. Submissions may cover, but are not limited to, the following themes:
Humanities and Cultural Studies: Research exploring culture, history, philosophy, texts, and related humanitarian issues.
Social Sciences: Including sociology, psychology, education, social work, and related social science disciplines.
Public Policy and Social Issues: Research findings on public affairs, policy analysis, social problems, and institutional practices.
Economics, Business, and AI Applications: Interdisciplinary topics covering economic analysis, business issues, and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence.
To recognize and encourage aspiring students, the conference features three awards selected by our panel of judges and session chairs:
Best Research Award (Undergraduate)
Best Poster Presentation Award (Associate Degree / Higher Diploma Students)
Interdisciplinary Innovative Research Award (All Participants)

宏恩基督教學院與香港樹仁大學商業、經濟及公共政策研究中心一直致力推動，鼓勵跨院校、跨學科研究交流，本年度為了鼓勵副學位及本科生學生學術發展，將於2026年6月26日舉辦首屆「Ideas in Action：人文社科與公共政策本科生跨學科研討會」，為本科生及副學位學生提供一個友善、具啟發性且具專業標準的學術平台，讓想嘗試研究或有志向學術方向發展的同學展示其研究計劃 / 成果，並與學者及同儕交流，以促進本地學生的學術研究風氣。現特函向各院校發出邀請，鼓勵 貴校／ 貴學系學生以跨學科研究方法為取向投稿。投稿主題可涵蓋以下範疇。
人文與文化研究
歡迎探討文化、歷史、思想、文本及相關人文議題的研究。
社會科學
包括但不限於社會學、心理學、教育、社會工作及相關社會科學範疇。
公共政策與社會議題
歡迎就公共事務、政策分析、社會問題及制度實踐提出研究成果。
經濟、商業、人工智能應用
涵蓋經濟分析、商業議題及人工智能應用等跨界研究主題
為鼓勵有志向上進修的同學，是次會議亦設有三個獎項，由評審委員會及大會分組論壇老師評選，獎項包括：
最佳研究獎（本科生）
最佳海報展示獎（副學位學生）
跨學科創新研究獎（全體）
